A traditional Portuguese tile panel, possibly from the 16th century, known for its majolica technique. The majolica technique allowed for the painting of motifs on a smooth ceramic surface without the colors mixing.

The tiles feature a repetitive geometric pattern in blue and yellow and the designs, including ornate borders, show Renaissance influences. This type of art is a distinctive Portuguese cultural expression, frequently found in museums such as the National Tile Museum.
