Six numbered busts of ladies displaying their Paris hats.

A color fashion plate from the December 1902 issue of The Delineator magazine, titled “Hats from the Leading Paris Houses.” The illustration features six numbered busts of elegant women showcasing decorative Edwardian winter millinery trends.

Hat number one (top left) is a flat, wide-brimmed cream-colored hat decorated with an ornate wreath of green leaves and dark red berries, worn with a pink patterned dress and a fluffy grey-and-white fur stole. Hat number two (middle left) is a heart-shaped structure made of dark velvet with ruffled pale yellow trims and iridescent bird feathers arranged symmetrically along the sides. Hat number three (bottom center) is a blue-and-white soft fabric sailor-style hat with a gathered brim and white ribbons, shown in profile over a blue lace dress. Hat number four (center) is a large, wide-brimmed turquoise or soft green felt hat heavily embellished with dark feathers and worn with a rich fur collar. Hat number five (top right) is an upturned brown hat adorned with shimmering gold embroidery and dramatic, upright dark green plumes. Hat number six (bottom right) is a dark velvet hat with a wide rolled brim lined with white fabric, complemented by an intricate white lace ruffle collar.
