Dutch Costume – 1811

A man wears a knee-length, dark blue coat with pockets and buttons over a black waistcoat, knee-length black breeches, and black hose. His shoes are black with gold buckles, and he wears a white cravat. He wears a curled, white wig and leans against an open display case, showing an item to a woman. The woman wears a long, green skirt and a purple jacket that has long sleeves, a high waist, and a multi-colored, floral pattern.

The jacket is hip-length and has a long black apron tucked in at the waist. The woman wears white stockings and flat, black shoes. She wears a cap on the back of her head trimmed with brown embroidery. The cap has a wide, pink band and a short, white veil.
