Discover the Rare Peloponnesvs N Morea Map

This image corresponds to the extremely rare map of the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece, entitled “Peloponnesvs N Morea”, engraved by the renowned Italian cartographer Paolo Forlani and published in Venice around 1570, with a famous reissue around the same period in the context of the Lafréry school. The map stands out for its detailed text panel in the lower left corner that begins with the famous Italian dedication “A Benigni Lettori”.

Authentic Renaissance Topographical Wall Art

An extraordinary find for classicists, historians, and serious print collectors, this antique map also features an elegant graphical compass rose and a classical cartographer’s divider scale. The exquisite calligraphy of ancient city-states and the authentic aged-paper aesthetic bring a timeless, highly academic atmosphere to any traditional library, executive office, or upscale gallery wall.
