Paris Dress – Spring 1825

Two women in Long-champ Paris fashions. The woman on the left is seated facing forward. She wears a wide brimmed, white hat decorated with large, white feathers and a sheer, lace veil. The hat ties under her chin with a white ribbon. A white, ruff collar comes out of a blue dress. Ruffles surround she shoulder and chest. Her sleeves are Leg-of-mutton style with a row of buttons along the forearm and a ruffled cuff. The bodice pleats over the bosom and ends at a belted waist. Her white shawl with a red flowers and green leaves wide border is draped over the arm of her chair.

The bottom of her skirt has three tiers of ruffles. She wears a pair of black shoes. The woman on the right is seated with her back towards the viewer. She wears a white hat with lace, bows and feather decoration. The top of her white, lace collar shows over her black cloak with red, blue and yellow flower detailing. Her dress is white, but mostly hidden by her cloak. Both women are seated in wooden chairs. There are two tree trunks in the background, one with branches and leaves.
