Morning Dress – Winter 1813

A woman wears a white, ankle-length morning dress with long sleeves, a high waist, and a high neck. The dress has a high, white standing ruffled collar with white detailing at the hem. The woman wears a long, blue cape with squared edges. The cape has a pink border trimmed with a garland of pink and blue flowers. It ties with a blue bow at the neck and has a pink tassel at each of the two lower points. The woman wears blue boots and buff-colored gloves. Her hat is round and blue with a band of brown fur. She adjusts her cape with her left hand, while her right hand holds a large white fur muff decorated with a white bow and tufts of black, probably ermine.
