Retro art poster depicting the “Stan’s Willow Run Victory Lunch Wagon”, a food van that served workers at the Ford bomber factory in Willow Run, Michigan, during World War II. The Willow Run factory was a massive aircraft manufacturing complex built by the Ford Motor Company, famous for producing a B-24 Liberator bomber every hour at its peak in 1944.
The vehicle depicted is a “wagon” style lunch van, common at the time for feeding thousands of workers. The license plate indicates that the van served food three times a day outside the factory, including items such as the “Bomber City Chili” and the “Egg Bomber” sandwich.
This is a modern art print created by designer Chris Bidlack, celebrating retro style and American industrial history.
