The Raising of Lazarus

The painting depicts the biblical miracle described in the Gospel of John, in which Jesus Christ raises Lazarus of Bethany from the dead. The scene captures the dramatic moment when Lazarus, still wrapped in burial bandages, emerges from the tomb at Jesus’ command: “Lazarus, come out!” The work is part of the collection of Frederiksborg Castle, Denmark.
