Chinese propaganda poster from 1979 featuring a prominent, idealized portrait of Huang Daopo, a legendary female innovator in the cotton textile industry from the late Song and early Yuan dynasties. She is depicted looking toward the horizon, wearing a traditional blue-and-white patterned headscarf and a striped blue robe, while holding a wooden weaving shuttle in her hand. The background, styled after traditional blue-and-white fabric prints, shows scenes of women operating historical textile machinery, cotton fields, and processing tools. Bold text frames the poster, with a red slogan banner at the top and large yellow Chinese characters at the bottom identifying the historical figure.
