Fashions and Bonnets – 1848

Her dress is green with a crenelated pattern on the hems of the sleeves, the bottom of the jacket, and three rows on the skirt. Her white blouse has a plain collar and is long sleeved.

She carries a pink fringed shawl over her elbows. The woman on the right wears a rose pink bonnet with matching ribbon. Her dress is navy blue with many rows of ruffles on skirt. She wears a sheer black mantelet with ruffles on the hem. Her dress has a plain collar and is long sleeved. Both women are holding handkerchiefs in their left hands.
