The garments are rich in texture and detail, incorporating heavy fabrics like velvet, silk, and brocade, often trimmed with fur.

The women wear elaborate hats with feathers and ribbons, and their dresses emphasize the distinct bustle silhouette of the early 1880s, with voluminous skirts draped over structures at the back. The children are also dressed in formal period clothing, including a young boy in a double-breasted coat and a young girl in a velvet dress with a fur collar. At the bottom, printed text details the publication information, copyright notices, and the name of the supplier, D. Nicholson and Company of London.
