Historical French Day Dresses and Church Wedding Register Scenes
The interior scene takes place in a minister’s chamber inside a church, complete with a deeply recessed stained-glass window. A woman acting as a witness wears a high-collared lavender day dress with a red patterned design and a matching white bonnet. An elderly minister in round spectacles sits at a desk, guiding her hand with a quill to sign the church marriage register.
