This authentic hand-colored fashion plate from the historic French publication Journal des Jeunes Personnes beautifully illustrates elite Victorian style from the mid-19th century. The antique print displays a refined domestic parlor where a bride stands gracefully next to a seated companion, capturing the idealized femininity and romanticism of the era. Characterized by expansive bell-shaped crinoline skirts and heavily draped fabrics, these Parisian illustrations served as a primary style guide for wealthy young women across Europe.
