American Fashions – 1848

The dress has a narrow white collar with a pink bow, long sleeves, and a pointed waistline. On the skirt are two wide ruffles in the same fabric as the dress. She has a white shawl with deep fringe draped over her elbows. In her left hand is a light blue parasol.
